Shaheen Afridi's cricket journey took root at the Tatara Ground, named after the Tatara Hills, where he began honing his skills. Initially introduced to cricket through tennis-ball games, his breakthrough came in the 2015 FATA Under-16 Test, paving the way for his selection in the Under-16 squad's tour of Australia. His standout performance, marked by a four-wicket haul, was pivotal in securing a 2–1 victory in the ODI and Twenty20 series.
